Rock Star Nails & Spa at Evanston

I drive 20 minutes out of my way to come here. This has been my fourth time (all walk-ins) and always felt welcomed. Triny got me started and was lovely. Soon Vincent took over and was amazing! He came up with the idea of a spiderweb and did great! Super nice and friendly. I never had a place that made my nails thin than thick so I love that. Definitely will continue to come back here! 🫶🏼

Technician was rude and rushing because she had another appointment (I was a walk in) - her frustration and tone made for an uncomfortable experience. Nail color was also not accurate - it showed a deep forest green but came out a Christmas green. When I said it didn’t look the same, she admitted it wasn’t as dark but then threw a fit and rudely asked, “well what do you want?” I understand that the service industry can be rough but I’ve been getting my nails done for 7 years now and this is one of the few times I have someone be so rude it makes me want to leave the establishment as soon as possible. For what it’s worth, my previous two times here were pleasant and my nails looked great.

I asked for almond nails and got thick, oval shaped nails with extra length for which they later charged me. I went back and was confronted with disrespect and attitude from both manager AND front lady threatening my mom and i to “kick us out”, mimicking us, told us to shut up multiple times, and raising their voice— when all i asked was for a refund of the extra length& shape cost OR to cut them down. This was my 2nd bad experience. I will not be returning and neither should you. Overall the staff is rude, (walking red flags), gaslighting the clients, unprofessional, & unhygienic.

They truly do the best pedicures, and take their time with their manicures. I always get acrylics, and they did amazing with mine even my crazy design. Even when I came in with my acrylic nail having been broke, they immediately fixed it! I definitely recommend this place. They care about each of their clients and prioritize them all.

Literally the worst nail salon I've ever been too. The worst service I've ever received and the most disrespected I've been in my life at a nail salon. The initial shape I received I didn't like and I asked for it to be fixed prior to the tech applying acrylic which wasn't done. I then asked for a change again and was told it was be additional money. I said I wouldn't pay additional pay given their error. I was then GRABBED by the owner and told he would fix my nails which he then proceeded to cut off my hand and told me "get out congratulations you got free nails." He then told the other workers not to talk to me because that would pollute the air. Afterward the owner refused to hear my feedback and lied and said I refused to pay knowing that he made me leave. Truly a disgusting establishment with disgusting employees. I will be reporting this business beyond this review. The gentlemen that run this establishment do not deserve a business with the level of "customer service" provided. I have never been made to feel this way at a nail salon before and I will never recommend any patron this business. This may not have happened to you YET but the day will come because a business owner with such disregard will continue to behave this way. Disgusted. Would NEVER recommend
